Hungarian player wins Champions League

23-year-old Hungarian international Zsanett Jakabfi is member of the German side VFL Wolfsburg that has won the UEFA Champions League in women’s football against Olympique Lyonnais - a rare piece of success for a Hungarian footballer nowadays.

The Hungarian midfielder took part in her team completing a historic treble having won the Women's Champions League final, the German league title as well as the German Cup final in 2013.

Zsanett Jakabfi has been capped with the Hungarian national side six times, scoring one goal. Before, she played 16 times for Hungary’s under-19 team, scoring 14 goals there.
