Hungary's Sándor Shaolin Liu won the 1,000-meter event at the European Short Track Championship in Torino, Italy to become the first European champion for Hungary in this sport. He also finished second at the 3,000-meter superfinal while other members of the Hungarian team won another five silver medals.
