Hungarian waterpolo players in the Hall of Fame

The International Swimming Hall of Fame, the international organisation charged with preserving the memories of those legends of the swimming pool, inducted six of Hungary's triple Olympic water polo champions into its cast of stars in a ceremony in Santa Clara, USA at the weekend; the Hungarian winners of gold medals in Sydney, Athens and Beijing receiving this honour here were Tibor Benedek, Péter Biros, Tamás Kásás, dr. Gergely Kiss, dr. Tamás Molnár and Zoltán Szécsi.

As waterpolo.hu reports, those at the ceremony included Dr Dénes Kemény, three-time Olympic champion coach of the Hungarian men's water polo team who was already inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2011 and is currently the Presdient of the Hungarian Water Polo Association. The compere for the evening was Hungarian Olympic champion swimmer Ágnes Kovács.

The six inducted legends are Tibor Benedek, Péter Biros, Tamás Kásás, dr. Gergely Kiss, dr. Tamás Molnár and Zoltán Szécsi - they received compliments and a grand ribbon straddling their chests.
