Hungarian competitors crossed the finish line first at the half marathon race that took place this past Sunday in Budapest in the framework of the Vivicittá Budapest 2015 running festival that, the organizers say, was the largest ever leisure sports event in Hungary.
Tímea Krisztina Merényi and István Varga won the women's and men's half marathon event, respectively at the Vivicittá Budapest 2015 running festival. They were among the 8,500 competitors running the half marathon race while the whole event of different distances was attended by a record number of 26.029 people - some 20% more than in the previous year.
