Zsolt Erõss, the first Hungarian to scale Mount Everest, is feared dead on Nepal’s treacherous Kangchenjunga mountain, according to local tourism officials. Four others, including Hungarian Péter Kiss are also feared to have died.
A fellow climber who decided not to scale Kangchenjunga this time claims the five climbers decided to rely on their own ropes and rely less on the help of sherpas to save money.
In addition, the two Hungarian climbers are said to have not rested enough before hesding for the peak.
