Hungarians win 18 medals and Paralympic Games

Hungarian Paralympic athletes won one gold, eight silver and nine bronze medals at the 15th Summer Paralympic Games that ended in Rio de Janeiro this Sunday. The 43-strong Hungarian team won medals in six different sports. The only Hungarian victory was produced by swimmer Tamás Tóth.

Tamás Tóth won the 100-meter backstroke event in category 59. Two more silver and five more bronze medals were won in swimming; three silver and two bronze medals in fencing; one silver and one bronze in table tennis; one silver in parakayak and athletics each and a bronze in power lifting.
