Hungary will face Greece, Romania, Finland, Northern Ireland and the Faroe Islands in qualifying group F for the 206 European Football Championship tournament in France. The first two of each group and five of the third-placed teams will qualify.
On September 7, Hungary's national football team will entertain Northern Ireland in its first match of the qualifying series for the 2016 European Championship. Later in the year, Hungary will visit Romania and the Faroe Islands and play home to Finland.
Interestingly enough, the first friendly match for Hungary under the new coach, Attila Pintér, will be played against Finland in Gyõr, NW Hungary on March 5, this year.
According to the draw that took place in Nice, France, this Sunday, qualifying group F also includes Greece. The six teams play each other home and away in a round-robin system to reach the final standings. Hungary's last match will be in Greece on October 11, 2015.
