Hungary's seasonally-adjusted Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) stood at 51.5 points in September, climbing from 49.1 in the previous month, the Hungarian Association of Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Management (Halpim) said on Wednesday.
The PMI rose back over the 50-point threshold, signalling an expansion in the manufacturing sector.
Among the PMI sub-indices, the new orders index rose 5.2pp and was over the 50-point mark.
The production volume index increased 1.8pp and indicated an expansion.
The employment index edged down 0.7pp and was under the 50 threshold.
The delivery times index rose 5.1pp and was below the 50-point mark.
The gauge of purchased inventories rose 3.5pp and indicated expansion.
