Mol Limo's service is now available on a trial basis at Lake Balaton, Balatonfüred and Siófok. With this innovation, the car-sharing company is responding to users' growing demand for multi-day trips, Mol Limo told MTI on Thursday.
During the trial period, which runs from July 10 until further notice, two types of cars – the Suzuki Vitara and Opel Combo – can be rented in the two cities. The service is available through the Mol Limo app, and rentals can be for a maximum of 72 hours.
The cars can be picked up at Limo points set up at MÁV railway stations, and rentals can only be terminated at the point of departure. According to the car-sharing company's announcement, cross-use between Budapest and the two Balaton cities is not possible, which means that rentals must be terminated at the point of departure.
Mol Limo did not disclose to MTI how many cars are available at Lake Balaton, but indicated that they will increase the number of vehicles available for rent in the two lakeside towns based on demand.
Mol Limo currently has more than 130,000 registered users and a fleet of nearly 600 cars, they said.
