From Thursday to Sunday evening, the international festival celebrating the 120th anniversary of Harley-Davidson takes place at the Puskás Arena Park in the Hungarian capital with all kinds of activities from morning till night.
The largest motorcycle parade in Budapest's history took place late morning and early afternoon this Saturday with 6,000 riders marching through the most beautiful parts of the city, from the Puskás Arena in Pest across the Danube River to Buda and back.
The parade brought public transport and motor traffic to a standstill in several parts of the city, but during the festival there was heavy traffic on the motorway and main road sections leading to Budapest. Authorities are asking for the patience of road users.
Interestingly enough, one point of the program's rules of the house is addressed primarily to the capital's residents: that they should take note that this is a noisy event, both because of the bikes and the music.
As part of the festival, guided tours are organized from Budapest to several regions of the country, including the Balaton Highlands, the Great Plain, Eger, the Cserhát Mountains, Dobogókő, the Vértes Hills and the Danube Bend.
