Hungary's National Laboratory for Autonomous Systems (NLAS) announced on Tuesday the completion of a four-year research and development program supported by HUF 6.2 billion in European Union funding.
The program to investigate the safe and sustainable operation of autonomous vehicles, robots and drones, produced 13 domestic patents and trademarks, four international patents and three spin-offs.
During its operation, the NLAS generated revenue of more than HUF 9 billion.
The program involved the participation of close to 400 researchers and technicians from HUN-REN SZTAKI, the Széchényi István University of Győr and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
