The electricity distributor company OPUS TITASZ inaugurated an HUF 18.2bn substation in Nyíregyháza (NE Hungary) this Friday.
The investment, supported by European Union funding, is said to boost the electricity distributor's capacity by 45%, allowing it to meet fully demand at the local industrial park.
At the inauguration ceremony, Energy Minister Csaba Lantos highlighted the government's efforts to boost the country's energy independence.
With the establishment of the substation, the company's service capacity has increased by 45%, and it now serves the entire electricity needs of the Nyíregyháza industrial park.
The facility currently has a connection capacity of 184 MVA and will be able to deliver its full capacity once the feed-in lines and background developments have been completed, which is expected to happen in the coming years.
