Take-up on the industrial property market in and around Budapest reached 175,510 sqm in the second quarter, the Budapest Research Forum (BRF) said on Wednesday.
New leases accounted for 18% of total demand, renewals for 44% and contracts for additional space for 12%. Pre-leases made up 26%.
The vacancy rate in greater Budapest stood at 14.8%, edging down 0.3 percentage points from the previous quarter.
There were 4,179,890 sqm of modern industrial space in and around Budapest at the end of the quarter, from a 6,510,150 sqm nationwide total. Over 117,000 sqm was added to the total in the second quarter of 2026.
BRF's members include 108 Hungary Real Estate, CBRE, Colliers, Cushman and Wakefield, ESTON International, iO Partners and Robertson Hungary.
