Shell Hungary Plc. will restructure the operation of another 17 petrol stations: from November 2, these will be available only to its contracted corporate partners with euroShell fuel cards, the company said on its website on Friday.
According to the statement, Shell is converting in this process five of its 193 service stations in Budapest and 12 in major cities in Hungary, making a total of 17 stations.
For consumers without a euroShell fuel card, there will be no significant change, as they will be supplied by another Shell station in Budapest and in the given settlement in the countryside, they added.
Shell Hungary Plc. has already changed the operation of two filling stations along these lines on a trial basis: one in Mosonmagyaróvár and one in Debrecen at the beginning of August 2022. With the restructuring, the company promised then a more predictable fuel distribution, a service better adapted to the needs of its contracted partners and a shorter payment time.
The oil company also told the state news agency MTI at the time that it was temporarily suspending filling stations at five locations across the country, which it defined at the time as a measure to optimize its operations and help with staff shortages.
