Vaccine Passport: No Clear Majority in Favor or Against

Hungarians are divided into two extremes by the issue of vaccine passports: almost as many support such a new card as many reject it.

The vaccination document is least wanted by young people, who still have a long way to go to be vaccinated, while the elederly who are likely to have received or are expected to receive soon are the ones who want this kind of ID. But village and town, graduates and respondents with lower education also differe in their opinions as shown by the results of the joint research of Pulzus Research and Napi.hu.

The government has decided that the Hungarian state will introduce a document certifying protection, which can be obtained by those who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus or who have been proven to have contracted the disease. The new official document is for those who have already received a second vaccination against the coronavirus. In this case, the document will not include a period of validity, but will record the date of administration of the vaccine, as there is no precise information yet on the length of protection afforded by each vaccine.

Also, there is no information whatsoever where and by whom this document would be accepted, whether the type of vaccine received determines its validity, etc.
