Municipal Elections Set for October 13 in Hungary

A statement by the President of the Republic of Hungary, János Áder says that "ever since the first free elections in 1990, all constitutional conditions are given to us to decide for ourselves the issues that determine our present and future.

In the fall of 2019, we have the opportunity to decide on our local governments for the eighth time since the regime change. Therefore, as President of the Republic of Hungary, I urge all my fellow countrymen to take part in this year's local elections, the date of which I set for October 13, 2019, in accordance with the provisions of the Fundamental Law."
