With an exhibition entitled ‘Dreamers of Dreams 20 – World-renowned Hungarians, world-shaping inventions’, Millenáris celebrates Hungarian contributions to scientific milestones. Opening this Tuesday, the spectacular interactive exhibition showcases the inventions of nearly 600 Hungarian geniuses.
Covering an area of almost 6,000 square meters, the exhibition covers 6+1 disciplines: mobility, medicine, industry, agriculture, infocommunication, the science of space and the spirit of place. The main aim of the exhibition is to promote the world of science and inspire young people in an accessible, spectacular and entertaining way.
Along the exhibition's nearly one and a half kilometers of visitor routes, interactive elements alternate between a walk in a giant brain, where you can playfully learn about the nervous system, a flight in a plane, where you can study the history of the most important aeronautical engineers in Hungary in the clouds, an adventure on Mars in VR glasses, or a fascinating dome projection of the Earth from the surface of the Moon.
"We have been able to innovate in any field at any time in history. The most recent example is Katalin Karikó, who is also featured in the exhibition. We would never think that in the world around us, in everyday life, there are so many Hungarian contributions, and we Hungarians have given so much to the world," Virág Dankó, Managing Director of Millenáris, the organizer of the exhibition, said.
