Thousands of pizza boxes a day will feature photos of animals looking for a master as part of a new campaign to encourage adoption in Hungary.
As the popular news site telex.hu quotes an announcement by the Pizza Dog campaign that "In Hungary, there are a lot of stray animals on the streets and many of them can't be saved by animal protectors because, with a little exaggeration, everyone runs a full house."
The organizers add that many animals have been waiting for several years to find a master, so they have been looking for a new forum to draw attention to animals in need. The promotion is a joint project of Pizza King and WebGarden Ltd.
The pizza boxes will have a sticker and a QR code next to it. The QR code takes the visitor to the Pizza Dog page, where prospective owners can inquire about dogs with chips and vaccines awaiting adoption. Dogs are rescued by animal rescue organizations belonging to the United Emergency Animal Welfare System (EVÁR).
