Krisztián Kulcsár was elected President for another four years at the general assembly meeting of the Hungarian Olympic Committee this Saturday.
The re-elected President, who has been in office since May 2017, was the only candidate. He received 103 supportive votes from the membership, and three delegates voted against him.
Since the General Assembly unanimously amended the statutes of the organization, the terms of office of all newly elected officers shall run until the General Assembly meeting following the Paris Olympics, to be held by September 15, 2024 at the latest.
At the beginning of the general meeting, the membership commemorated Hungarian athletes who died since November last year, including György Kárpáti and Tibor Benedek, who passed away this week.
After the general meeting, the new presidency convened, confirming Secretary General Bálint Vékássy in his position.
