Lidl Hungary has won the 2023 Green Frog Award for the best sustainability report, while Graphisoft Park has been awarded the special prize for the first best report, Deloitte Hungary, the award's promoter, announced on its website.
The consultancy firm said that the Green Frog Award aims to recognize companies where sustainability is an integral part of the business strategy, organizational culture and practical operation of the company.
It rewards outstanding performance and innovation in non-financial reporting.
Only sustainability reports from companies operating in Hungary or from the Hungarian organization of a global company are eligible for the competition; reports from the global parent company will not be accepted. Also, reports that are limited to a single sustainability-related area, such as environmental reports, foundation reports, etc. are not accepted.
In their assessment, the judges take into account, among other things, whether the report includes ESG (environmental, social and governance) objectives, whether the most relevant issues are presented and whether the document is based on clear and reliable data.
