4iG Seeks Network Partnership Yettel Owner

Units of 4iG, which owns the One telecommunications brand, and e& PPF Telecom Group, which operates the Yettel brand, have signed a non-binding term sheet on a network-sharing partnership, 4iG said in a statement.

According to the term sheet, 4iG would acquire an indirect stake of up to 49% in Yettel tower business CETIN Hungary, while e& PPF Telecom Group would get up to 38% of 4iG's wireline infrastructure unit 2Connect in a share swap.

Separately, 4iG is in advanced talks with a leading UAE sovereign wealth fund on the potential sale of an additional 11% stake in 2Connect.

In the framework of the partnership, Yettel would enter the fixed-line market in H2 2026 using the 2Connect network, while One Magyarorszag would use CETIN's mobile network from 2028.

The synergies from the network sharing, including savings and revenue, are expected to reach up to EUR 1 billion, 4iG said.

The transactions are expected to close early in 2027, pending due diligence, the signing of final contracts and regulatory and shareholder approvals.
