Volvo Hungária Ltd. has handed over to the Waberer's Group Hungary's first purely electric Volvo tractor unit, an electric Volvo FH model.
The newly handed over electric Volvo FH is a 4×2 axle configuration tractor with a Globetrotter XL extra-high sleeper cab for driver comfort.
The range of up to 300 kilometers is ensured by a battery pack consisting of 6 batteries with a total capacity of 540 kWh.
The powertrain is made up of three electric motors and Volvo Trucks' unique I-Shift automatic transmission, which delivers 490 kW of continuous power with zero exhaust emissions.
With an AC charger, the batteries can be fully charged in 10 hours, with a DC charger in just 2 hours.
The electric Volvo FH is designed for fast and convenient transport of goods between logistics hubs and major cities – and will be used for this purpose at Waberer's.
