The Waberer's Group has invested almost EUR 2 million to rejuvenate its fleet, with the company putting 45 three-axle and 5 two-axle Berger trailers into service for its local and international transport operations, Waberer's told MTI on Friday.
According to the statement, the company has replaced a significant number of its semi-trailers in recent years, and the current purchase is another step towards greener operations.
“The Berger Ecotrail semi-trailers in 3-axle design are capable of transporting loads heavier than 30 tons, including bridge elements. The lower kerb weight and higher load capacity indirectly contribute to reducing emissions, more products can be transported per trip and the lower weight of light loads results in lower fuel consumption, thus contributing to the Waberer's Group climate goals," the release said.
The Waberer's Group is Europe's leading road logistics company with its own fleet and Hungary's leading complex logistics provider. It operates a modern fleet of 2,800 trucks and manages more than 250,000 square meters of modern warehouses, thus having the largest logistics capacity in the region. The company has been listed in the premium category of the Budapest Stock Exchange since 2017. It closed at HUF 2,180 on Thursday. Over the past year, the share price has reached a low of HUF 1,735 and a high of HUF 2,310.
