One and a half million passengers and more than 40,000 tons of cargo were registered in November at Budapest's Ferenc Liszt International Airport, the airport's operating company, Budapest Airport said in its bulletin this Wednesday.
1,552,078 passengers traveled through Ferenc Liszt International Airport in November, 11% more than in the same period last year, while the total number of passengers for the eleven months showed an increase of nearly 12% compared to 2024. At the beginning of December, the airport reached a new milestone; total annual passenger traffic reached 19 million for the first time in the airport’s history.
The upward trend in the cargo business continued in November; the 40,406 tons of cargo volume represents an increase of nearly 30% compared to last year, and the 389,158 tons of goods handled in eleven months is 43% more than last year's volume.
