With the addition of a new aircraft, Wizz Air's Budapest fleet will expand to 19, enabling the airline to launch five new routes exclusively available from Wizz Air from the Hungarian capital and to increase its flights on six routes, Wizz Air told MTI on Wednesday.

The statement highlighted that from June, two new destinations in Greece and one in Spain will also be available with Wizz Air and the Bulgarian coast will also become directly accessible.

In addition to the new flights, the airline's capacity will be expanded on six existing routes thanks to the 19th aircraft.

Wizz Air operates a fleet of 256 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft and carried 63.4 million passengers in the 2025 financial year.

The company announced in December 2025 that, according to its half-yearly report, its total revenue increased by 9% compared to a year earlier, to EUR 3.342 billion. Its after-tax profit rose by 2.6% to EUR 323.5 million. Its operating profit exceeded EUR 432 million, representing a 25.8% increase.
