Bock Winery Ltd., based in Villány, S Hungary, has implemented developments worth more than HUF 1.5 billion in order to bring premium quality wines, grape juice and cold-dried fruit products to the market, the company informed the state news agency MTI on Tuesday.
The statement said that a 3,700-square-metre raw material processing plant was built within the framework of the HUF 650 million investment from the European Union’s Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program (Ginop), using a similar loan and 25% of own resources.
Quoting the owner József Bock, the press release said that the facility will enable the company to broaden its current product range and raise the quality of its wines, thus enabling it to launch new top-quality products on the domestic and international markets, with even higher prestige than before.
The development will also enable the company to produce grape juice and cold-dried fruit products, in addition to the nutritional supplements made from blue grape seeds, thus expanding its portfolio of products for children and health-conscious consumers.
The new, modern production equipment for the reception of grape raw materials, the phases of grape processing, fermentation, wine treatment, bottling and the introduction of health-conscious products will bring significant quality improvements to Bock Winery Ltd.
According to public company data, Bock Winery Ltd., which employs around fifty people, achieved a net turnover of almost HUF 1.3 billion last year, with a profit of HUF 139 million.
