The facility was inaugurated by President Pál Schmitt, State Secretary of Culture Géza Szõcs and local mayor Zsolt Páva on the 128th birth anniversary of eminent Hungarian composer and music teacher Zoltán Kodály (1882-1967).
The multifunctional conference and concert center, having a total area of 11,000 square metres, was constructed with an investment of HUF 6 billion (EUR 22 million). The concert hall has a capacity of 999. Its acoustic features were praised by eminent Russian violin virtuoso Maxim Vengerov, who gave the first public concert in it last week.
