There are appreciable changes in Hungarian-US ties and this is thanks to a sharing of interests in several areas, according to Zsolt Németh, head of parliament’s foreign affairs committee before which US Ambassador Colleen Bell appeared this Thursday.
At the Committee meeting, Ambassador Bell pointed out that "we are fortunate to meet as friends, and to work together as friends. Hungary and the United States share the view that our alliance is the cornerstone of our security, and that together, we secure a Europe that is whole, free, and at peace. That is why our two militaries conduct joint exercises so often and so flawlessly, why the International Law Enforcement Academy in Budapest is such a success story, and why our security, defense, and law enforcement cooperation works so well."
