69% of young people under 30 who have a job expect a pay rise next year in Hungary, while only 6% fear a decrease, K&H Bank said on Friday, referring to its November survey.
Despite the optimistic feedback, the K&H data shows that young people are also feeling the difficulties. In the previous quarterly survey, for example, 76% said their net salary would increase.
Uncertainty is also on the rise, with 49% saying in the current survey that their job was stable, compared with 70% who thought so from the end of 2017 until the pandemic outbreak, the bank wrote.
The majority of career starters are not satisfied with their job esteem. Only 38% were satisfied, 37% could not answer, and 25% said they did not get the recognition they deserved, they added.
300 young people took part in the K&H fourth quarter youth survey. Those aged between 19 and 29 were asked in mid-November about their expectations, the statement said.
