With the popularity of digital payment solutions, the use of cash continues to play a dominant role in everyday life, and in response to this demand MBH Bank will install ATMs at 55 Mol petrol stations, the companies' executives announced on Thursday at a handover ceremony at the Prielle Kornélia Street petrol station in Budapest's 11th district.
Zsolt Barna, President and CEO of MBH Bank, said that according to their surveys, in addition to digital developments, customers also need traditional solutions, and the financial institution aims to meet this need. The bank already has 1,056 ATMs nationwide and plans to have 1,900 ATMs by 2026. The agreement with Mol is one stage of this, he said, noting that the first round of ATMs could be followed by others if required.
MBH said it will install 50-60 ATMs per month in 2025, and last year 500 new generation ATMs were installed. The development project, worth more than HUF 10 billion, will result in the availability of MBH ATMs at more than 1,400 locations by the end of 2025, doubling the number of new installation points to more than 700 compared to the start of the project, it said.
