Waberer's International Plc. has entered the passenger transport market after acquiring a 51% stake in Pannon-Busz-Rent Ltd, the international transport and logistics services company told MTI on Monday.
According to the information, under the terms of the transaction announced in February and closed this Monday, the company has secured an option to acquire a further 49% stake in Pannon-Busz-Rent. This acquisition is expected to take place in 2027.
Within the passenger transport market, Pannon-Busz-Rent provides bus services to companies, as well as operating train replacement and special bus services. Its customers include industrial and agricultural companies as well as public transport operators.
The acquisition fits into the company's medium-term strategy, which was revised in the spring and aims to diversify Waberer's activities and enter new markets with growth potential, the statement said.
The company will continue to seek acquisition opportunities in the logistics, warehousing and passenger transport markets, they added.
