This Tuesday, deputy state secretary in the Hungarian Foreign Ministry Gergely Pröhle opened a permanent exhibition in the Hudec Memorial Hall in Shanghai dedicated to the works of Hungarian-born architect László Hudec.
László Hudec (born as Hugyec) worked in the city as chief architect between 1918-1945. Gergely Pröhle said that the Memorial Hall will function as an 'embassy' representing Hungarian architecture, culture and science. Hudec designed 65 buildings in Shanghai between the two World Wars.
