Hungary and Romania are keen to continue and strengthen bilateral partnership cooperation. That is according to Hungarian Foreign Minister János Martonyi who met with his Romanian counterpart Titus Corlatean in Budapest this Monday.
János Martonyi pointed out that that in recent months, relations had "entered a sensitive phase" and "some of us felt that this may endanger" achievements of recent years.
Titus Corlatean said a declaration of strategic partnership, signed by the two countries ten years ago, must be strengthened "in every respect". Hungary at the talks proposed opening further border crossings to Romania.
