With support from the Brazilian Embassy in Budapest, the Council of Citizens, an entity representative of the Brazilian residents in Hungary, organizes the second Brazil Week in the Hungarian capital between September 7 and 13, 2012.
It was last year that the Council decided to organize a series of events in Budapest aiming at the promotion of Brazilian culture and elevation of our country’s profile in Hungary, creating the first “Semana Brasil – Brazil Week”. It was seven days of music, typical dances, literature, plastic arts, gastronomy and movies.
The program of the second “Semana Brasil – Brazil Week” shall be launched in an official ceremony organized on September 7th by the Embassy that expects the ‘Semana Brasil – Brazil Week’ to become a permanent event in the cultural calendar of Budapest.

The Brazilian singer Nando Penteado will perform a repertoire of Brazilian Popular Music at Szimpla Kert, one of the three best Bars in the world, according to Lonely Planet.

“Brazilian Rhythms: Dancing the Night Away”
Performance of the Band Egy Two Três, with a Brazilian music repertoire of bossa nova and samba. There will be typical drinks and food. Register yourself at the Embassy (if you are Brazilian), like the Facebook of the Brazilian Citizens’ Council in Hungary (www.facebook.com/conselhonahungria) and you can have a discount for Caipirinha.
