The volume of Hungary’s retail sales declined by 0.4% month on month in September, which marks the continuation of this year’s forlorn trend. The sector suffered the biggest contraction of the past two and a half years in the third quarter, with a 2.7% year-on-year decrease.
The volume of Hungary’s retail sales dropped by 3.1% yr/yr in September and by 1.5% in the first nine months of 2012, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) has reported on Monday. According to figures adjusted seasonally and by working days, the stats office recoded a 0.4% decline compared to August.
