As a result of continuous negotiations between FGSZ Ltd., the the owner and operator of the Hungarian high-pressure natural gas pipeline system, and its Ukrainian partner, Gas TSO of Ukraine, the test period of Q1 2022 - according to which firm gas transmission capacities have been created in the HU>UA direction from January – has been extended.
Accordingly, the 3,532,015 kWh/h firm capacity will be available at Virtual Interconnection Point Bereg in the remaining time of the 2021/2022 gas year (until 30th September). The first relevant capacity auction will start at 9.00 am on February 7, 2022 for the Q3 and Q4 periods of the gas year 2021/2022. The unsold capacities will be offered first as monthly, then the remaining capacities as daily and within-day products.
FGSZ and its Ukrainian partner will further work on extending the availability of long-term firm capacities in the HU>UA direction, according to a statement published of the FGSZ website.
The periodical establishment of the HU>UA firm capacities have no effect on the pre-existing UA>HU transmission capacities, neither on interruptible capacitieson VIP Bereg HU>UA, booked earlier.
