The average concentration of the SARS-CoV-2 hereditary material in wastewater is rising, the National Center for Public Health (NNK) said on its website.

As they wrote, the trend is rising in the supply area of the Budapest Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the agglomeration settlements around Budapest, as well as in Győr, Kaposvár, Pécs, Salgótarján, Székesfehérvár, Tatabánya and Veszprém. Debrecen was the only city to show a decrease, they added.

They said that the concentration of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus hereditary material in two cities – Kecskemét and Szekszárd – was in the "moderate" category, while the other 20 sampling sites were in the "elevated" category.
