14,000 People Arrived to Hungary from Ukraine Saturday

According to police data, 14,162 people arrived in Hungary from Ukraine on Saturday, the National Police Headquarters (ORFK) informed the state news agency MTI on Sunday.

At the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, 7,134 people entered the country, while 7,028 of those entering the Romanian-Hungarian border said they had come from Ukraine, the statement said.

Of those who entered, police issued temporary residence permits valid for 30 days to 323 people. Within this period, they will have to visit the office of the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing of their place of residence in order to obtain the definitive documents.

Of those who entered the country, 370 people, including 178 children, arrived in Budapest by train, fleeing the war in Ukraine, the ORFK said in a statement.
