Plaza Premium Lounge, an international company specializing in the operation of passenger lounges and hospitality, opened its second outlet at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport at the beginning of March, the airport management company reports.
The new, 200 square meter lounge is located in the non-Schengen area of Terminal 2, offers stunning runway views, 65 comfortable sofas and chairs in a zoned arrangement, a library area and shower facilities. Both business and leisure travelers can comfortably enjoy the exclusive and distinctive Plaza Premium Lounge service, when waiting to depart from or transit through Budapest Airport. A wide range of services will also be available at the lounge, and the Plaza Premium Lounge will offer its popular food selection currently served in many lounges around the world, alongside typical Hungarian cuisine.
Having been crowned “Skytrax world’s best independent airport lounge” for five consecutive years, Plaza Premium Lounge is recognized to deliver its world-class services to global travelers. The new facility is part of the group’s strategic expansion in Europe and global network, with over 250 locations across 70 international airports in 30 countries.
“The opening of our second Plaza Premium Lounge in the non-Schengen area at Budapest Airport further strengthens our growing footprint in Europe. Together with Budapest Airport, we are looking forward to further expanding our award-winning, best-in-class signature hospitality with our second lounge at the airport. This new facility will be followed by further new openings across more airports in Europe in the months to follow,” Okan Kufeci, regional general manager, Europe, Middle East and Africa, pointed out.
Chris Dinsdale, the CEO of Budapest Airport commented in connection with the opening of the lounge that “the time spent at the airport is an important part of the travel experience. Budapest Airport therefore considers it important to provide a pleasant and relaxing environment for those who wish to use premium services. Budapest Airport scored its best ever result in the international passenger satisfaction survey (ASQ) last quarter. We have achieved an improvement in all 37 categories, which means that our 70 billion HUF worth of developments and service enhancements implemented over the past three years and our efforts to enhance the passenger experience have paid off. We happily welcome the addition of a new lounge to our range of services, thus enriching the range of premium services at Ferenc Liszt International Airport.”
