The National Council of Wine Communities (HNT) is promoting the conscious, moderate consumption of Hungarian sparkling wine on the World Wide Web, the organization told the state news agency MTI on Monday.
The campaign entitled ‘Pezsegj szabadon!’ (Sparkle freely!) is financed by the HNT and managed by the Artvertising Group. Creative director Gergely Nagy said in a statement that the timing was justified by the easing of restrictions, as he believes that combining freedom and sparkling wine can move many people.
According to HNT president Ottó Légli, sparkling wine in Hungary is mostly associated with moments of joy, so it is the right time to toast. He added that the promotion was made possible by the collaboration of 26 sparkling wine wineries.
The National Council of Wine Communities was founded in March 1996. It represents through its 23 members the 313 Hungarian wine regions. It is a body which defends the position of Hungarian wine sector and coordinates the technical and economic interest of the wine regions.
