Poland's PKO Bank plans to open a representative office in Hungary and next year will start operations as a branch in Romania, the announcement of the CEO of the financial institution, Dariusz Szwed, has been quoted by the financial website portfolio.hu
He stressed that the bank currently provides cross-border services on the Romanian market. He added that by the beginning of next year, they will be able to be present in the country as a branch.
“We will continue our expansion model, which we have been developing for several years, and next year we intend to enter the Hungarian market as a representative office,” the CEO said.
PKO, which is one of the largest financial institutions in Poland, and is also one of the largest financial groups in Central and Eastern Europe, currently operates branches in Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
