As of this August, movies and TV series on public service television channels in Hungary (m1, m2, Duna TV and Duna World) can be also watched in their original language as an alternative to the audio track with Hungarian dubbing.
According to the regulations, the original audio should always be accompanied by Hungarian subtitles. Further plans include the broadcasting of sports events with original language commentary.
These channels are freely available on the terrestrial digital (DVB-T) platform (‘MindigTV’) and the law prescribes that the carriers of these TV channels in digital (DVB) form forward the signal in its entirety, including original audio and subtitles.
