Hungarian cinematographer Marcell Rév ('Malcolm & Marie', 'White God') and animation film director Réka Bucsi ('Solar Walk', 'Symphony No. 42') are among the new class of 395 artists and executives who have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
Animation filmmaker Réka Bucsi is a regular guest at Berlinale. Three of her animated short films made their debut at the A list festival in Germany and she was also a jury member of the festival. This spring, she was asked by Netflix animation studio to design a scene for a fantasy musical, 'The Witch Boy'. She also has a feature-length film project, the sci-fi movie 'The Great Silence'.
Cinematographer Marcell Rév has been working overseas for some time now. He has worked as a cinematographer on several of Kornél Mundruczó's films, shot the HBO hit series Euphoria with Zendaya, and photographed Ildikó Enyedi's upcoming Cannes debut, 'The Story of My Wife'.
