The President of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), Henri Malosse has been received by the European Chamber (EuCham) in Budapest, where they discussed achievements and high-profile projects of both institutions.
An EuCham communiqué says its President, Michele Orzan stressed the excellency of European progress in sustainability and EuCham involvement in business integrity promotion. Henri Malosse particularly appreciated the GREENWILL project, which is heading from Europe towards a worldwide coverage after being tested in 21 countries, and suggested coordination with a European product labeling system being developed nowadays.
Patrik Kovács, EuCham board member for young entrepreneurship, talked about the latest trends and work being carried out in order to strengthen the image and attractiveness of new business creation. According to Henri Malosse,“to bridge the gap between the EU and its citizens, strong support is needed in favor of innovative young entrepreneurs.”
Both presidents agreed on a strong focus needed in the field of ethics, especially when business is involved. Entrepreneurship should be seen as an attractive option, Mr Malosse said, with Mr Orzan adding that businesses need to communicate better their social function.
