With the application developed by the pharmaceutical company, patient care can be planned from primary care to specialist treatments, follow-up care and analysis of therapies.
Digital Patient Pathway Management Application – or BetMen for short from the Hungarian name – is the name of the innovative technological service that Roche Hungary Ltd. is donating to the National Hospital Directorate General. Roche now plays a new role in the Hungarian healthcare system as a strategic partner of the Hungarian government. It offers a global and integrated solution that accompanies the patient throughout the entire patient path: providing early treatment, enabling prevention, avoiding unnecessary therapies and continuously evaluating the effectiveness of the treatments performed.
BetMen, which will soon be included in the EESZT application of Hungary's eHealth system, offers a solution to make patient care plannable, from primary care to specialist treatments, follow-up care and analysis of therapies. The platform offers treatment planning, appointment booking and consultation to users, GPs, specialists and patients, all in a way that helps the patient recover as quickly as possible with the least possible clinical burden. Based on the experience with the treatment plan and therapies, the interactive solutions can be used to modify the therapeutic procedures during the treatment, and the patient's feedback can be used as a guide for both the GP and the specialist.
At the handover ceremony of the app, the Managing Director of Roche Hungary, Raffaella Bondi, stressed that Roche, which is 125 years old this year, is committed to supporting the Hungarian healthcare system and offers its international experience and innovative solutions to create a sustainable, value-based healthcare model. As a leading player in the innovative healthcare industry, Roche seeks and supports Hungarian initiatives that help to make modern, personalized therapies available in a way that reduces their costs to society. By 2030, Roche aims to bring three to five times more innovative solutions to patients at 50% lower cost than today.
