The National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) and the Hungarian Communications Association (MKSZ) have signed a cooperation agreement for the development of the electronic communications profession and for raising consumer awareness in this country.
According to a statement sent to MTI on Tuesday by the NMHH Communications Directorate, the joint work will focus on conducting research, analyses, producing professional publications and organizing events on the communications market.
The professional relationship with MKSZ, the association of a smaller, but large number of, cable TV operators is not new, as there have been ongoing discussions on regulatory issues in the communications sector for a long time, they added.
The statement quoted NMHH president Ferenc Kéry as saying that fixed and wireless services with stable technical background and parameters remain essential, as evidenced by the fact that the association has 777,000 subscriptions to fixed telecommunications services in more than 3,400 municipalities.
They also pointed out that the National Media and Infocommunications Authority, in addition to supervising and regulating media administration and communications, is involved in monitoring the developments in the communications market, raising awareness of consumer decision-making, supporting educational and scientific programs and cooperating with professional organizations to achieve these objectives.
