Another edition of Csodalámpa Wish Granting Foundation’s cooking course took place recently with a special, pizza-making program, this time at Symbol House, to, as usual, grant a wish for a seriously ill child. This time a cooking project also took place.
The ‘Csodalámpa’ (Magic Lamp) Wish Fulfilling Foundation organized a wonderful Friday afternoon recently. The participants not only granted the wish of a child, who suffers from a serious illness, but they also took part in a cooking project.
This special charity cooking event took place at Symbol Budapest, where the members of the ‘Fundamenta Lakáskassza’ (a savings bank) had the opportunity to learn how to bake pizza. Thanks to the collaboration of the participants, another Magic–lamp–child’s dream was fulfilled in Budapest.
17-year-old Petra asked for a smartphone from the foundation so she can stay in touch with her family and her friends. Sales Manager of Symbol, Andrea Horváth and Márta Felkai from Csodalámpa Foundation greeted the guests.
After the welcoming words, they gave Petra the gift. She opened the package very excitedly. The happy look on her face was priceless as she stared at the brand-new phone. She also helped with the baking after these happy moments. Participants learned various cooking practices from Symbol’s chefs, for instance that the perfect pizza dough should include three different types of flour.
All the participants had the chance to decorate their own dough using different toppings. Finally the jury awarded the creativity of the guests, and then, of course, came the real feast: eating the masterpieces. The Csodalámpa Wish Fulfilling Foundation has already granted a wish for more than 2,400 children. You can read about all of them on the following website: www.csodalampa.hu
