The Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) has launched a campaign to promote Hungary in parallel with the international Budapest campaign.
A statement by the agency emphasized that in the period of recovery from the coronavirus epidemic, it is essential that not only domestic tourism be relaunched, but also that foreign travelers gradually begin to return at the same time as the borders are opened.
During the campaign period until the end of July, MTÜ will start communicating, mainly using digital platforms, with short image films and other advertisements on Facebook and YouTube first to people in Germany, Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia and Romania, targeting families and groups of friends planning to travel to nearby countries.
The aim of the campaign running under the WOW Hungary national brand is to draw attention to the fact that after the coronavirus epidemic, Hungary is ready to host tourists.
The MTÜ said it would first address travel planners not only in their own language during the campaigns, but also present different short films in each destination country and convey different messages to different target groups. What is common in all the films is that they draw attention to Hungary's water resources.
In the later phase of the campaign, in addition to digital and social platforms, messages belonging to the WOW Hungary - Wellspring Of Wonders country brand will also appear in television and public space advertisements in certain target markets, thus further building the communication platform.
