Germany's new Ambassador to Hungary, Johannes Haindl has presented his credentials to Hungarian President János Áder received Ambassador Johannes Haindl.
Following a similar position in Prague and then Vienna, Johannes Haindl now holds the position of ambassador in Budapest.
According to a press release by the German Embassy in Budapest, Ambassador Haindl is convinced that Germans and Hungarians are closely linked historically, economically and politically. "Today is about our common European future. In these difficult times, we in Europe need to strengthen solidarity and cohesion based on the common values and interests of the European Union. We want to work on this during our EU presidency, ”he said.
In his opinion, it is important for the future-oriented development of German-Hungarian relations that it they proceed on the basis of the 'Treaty on Friendly Cooperation and the European Partnership'.
