Turnover on the stock market was HUF 81.41 billion this week, following HUF 52.76 billion last week, with leading shares weakening. The BUX moved mixed during the week: it fell on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, rose on Thursday in line with European stock markets amid positive investor sentiment, but ultimately fell again on Friday due to declines in OTP and Mol. On Friday, the BUX closed at 101,199.84 points, down 1978.87 points, or 1.92 percent, from a week earlier.
Equilor Investment Plc. reported in its weekly summary that the BSE's first-half report shows strong financial performance. The company's net profit was HUF 2.67 billion, which also includes the KELER Group's HUF 2.025 billion profit attributable to the BSE. EBITDA increased to HUF 879 million, a 31% increase compared to the previous year. Revenues reached HUF 2.208 billion, a 20% increase. The BSE's trading revenues jumped to HUF 853 million (a 51% increase), while issuer fee revenues amounted to HUF 659 million (a 3% increase).
This week, 4iG announced that its project company, 4iG SDT Plc., would purchase a 74% stake in Rába and make a purchase offer of HUF 1,789 to shareholders for the remaining shares. The offer has not yet been approved by the Hungarian National Bank as the supervisory authority. Following the announcement, 4iG's share price rose by 6.02% and Rába's share price rose by 16.14% in Thursday trading, according to Equilor.
Mol has discovered a new oil field near Galgahévíz at a depth of approximately 2,400 meters, with O&GD and Mol sharing the extracted volume in a 51-49% ownership ratio. The Galgahévíz-4 well is capable of producing approximately 1,000 barrels of crude oil per day, which will be processed at the Dunai Refinery in Százhalombatta.
Among the leading stocks this week, Richter's share price fell the least, by 0.88% to close at HUF 10,180 on Friday, with a weekly turnover of more than HUF 7.64 billion.
Magyar Telekom's share price weakened by 1.58% and closed at HUF 1,868 on Friday, with a weekly turnover of HUF 3.17 billion.
